Almost every industrial or commercial venture experiences considerable losses due to inefficient materials handling practices.
Modification to eliminate problems experienced with the original handling system design, or at the expansion of the system, implies that a company should review the flow to rationalise their handling techniques.
Major economies, due to rationalised flow may include effective in process holding and prevention of quality deterioration due to handling.
