Formed in 1990, the team responsible for training and development at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), formed ITQA (Pty) Ltd, an authority in training and consultancy for quality, reliability, objective decision methods, and the application of Statistical Process Control requirements according to the ISO9001:2008 International Standards.
Quality Techniques I and Quality Techniques II, are the course that provide the statistical knowledge for all SPC processes and the grounding for the Certification Courses of the ASQ, as they all have statistics and process control as a section in the examination.
The passing of a Certification, is based on the criteria, that a candidate must have a pass rate of 80%, in each of the sections of the Body of Knowledge for the specific Certification.
The past has proven that most failures occur because of failure of the Statistical component.
The Mechanical Inspection course is to provide the candidate with a broad knowledge of Inspection.
For the certified Mechanical Inspector (CQI), we recommend that Quality Techniques I is also attended, which is the Statistical part of the Certification.
For a seasoned inspector we would recommend Quality Techniques and then the Certified Quality Inspector.
